Who are we?

Richard Household

Richard is the Managing Director of Revelstoke Wine having founded the company over 10 years ago on Revelstoke Road in Wimbledon. Richard has over 15 years worth of experience in the wine trade; his passion for wine came about as a result of misspent summers working in vineyards in Somerset and Bordeaux!

David Webber

David is the Operations Manager and lynch pin when it comes to running the logistical side of the business, lucky then that he spent 15 years in the Territorial Army whilst working as a regional manager in the wine trade… his orders are to be obeyed!

Mark Donovan

Mark is the Retail Manager and runs the shop on Durham Road. After 20 years as an investment banker he realised that he cared more about good wine than certificates of debt. Mark is inordinately proud of the wine knowledge he has acquired over the past quarter of a century; his liver takes a rather different view of things.

Where are we?

We like to think that where we are based is important; that’s not to say we only sell wine in Wimbledon, far from it we sell wine throughout the mainland UK, it’s just we like to think that Wimbledon is our home. As such we have been involved with several initiatives over the past years that help develop our relationship with the people in this area and give something back to the people that have supported us through the years.

What do we do?

We divide our business between our wholesale business, where we supply many companies and venues in and around London, and our retail business, which is driven by our website. We also conduct wine tasting evenings, produce personalised wine labels and provide a wine gift service.

Where ever possible we source our wines directly from the vineyard in which they were produced. This enables us to offer some truly unique wines as well as giving us the chance to form close relationships with the winemakers and Chateau owners themselves.

Why do we do it?

We do this through choice: because we love discovering, tasting and bringing new wines to our customers, because we enjoy working with the people in this industry and most of all because none of us could think of a better way to pay off our mortgages!
